from 1877 till today

In 1877, in the very heart of Brabant Wallon, Mr. Jean Lefèvre established the ‘Château Saint-Jean des Bois’ constructed in two distinct sections; the Château itself and the annexes. The wing infront of the hotel which was built in an Anglo-Norman style and are in actual fact the former stables of the Château. During the war, the Château was used to shelter members of the Resistance movement and it was therefore sequestered. In 1962, Mr. Burniat repurchased the Château.

On August 13th 1975, a fire completely ravaged the Château but the stables remained preserved but were abandoned.

In 1985, the Belhotel group, seduced by the beauty of its surroundings, decided to create a luxury hotel where the focus would be on good living and eating. For this everything was scrutinized, the building renovations respected the Anglo-Norman style of architecture and the annexes constructed were of the same design, thus the rooms harmoniously integrate into the ensemble.

It was in 1987 that the Château de Limelette was officially opened consisting of 40 rooms, a restaurant, 3 conference rooms and a pool.

Following additions and renovations, the Château de Limelette is available to offer you a grand selection of rooms, totalling 88. The hotel dispose of Executive rooms in an English style and Club rooms which are more spacious, air conditioned and each have a living area. The Prestige rooms, luxuriously constructed in 2000, offer you all the necessary comforts.

In addition you will find a gourmet restaurant, a bar, a spa where you can discover the benefits of hydrotherapy, 16 conference rooms including the Europa Room of 460 square meters, tennis courts, a covered pool, a gym and parking.
